Jiuzhaigou’s major festivals and activities are rich in local ethnic customs and offer an immersive cultural experience. The Tibetan people’s singing and dancing performances reflect the expansive and vibrant characteristics of the plateau and the strong essence of ethnic life. Among these, antiphonal singing, a lively form of entertainment, is especially popular. Groups exchange songs while walking, be it one group singing to another, villages competing, or men and women responding to each other with diverse and colorful tunes.
