Why travel to the UAE with your own family

The UAE has a tropical desert climate with little rain and sunshine all year round, with only summer and winter, and even the lowest temperature is above 10°C. Traveling with children already has a lot of luggage, right? Reducing rain gear is also a burden to relieve. And it's rare to cancel or affect an attraction due to weather conditions, so you won't be delayed!

Dubai is known as one of the safest cities in the world, with a crime rate of close to 0%, there are almost no police officers on the road, and if you need help, you can call the emergency number 999. This is the best condition for the whole family to travel with peace of mind!

Of course, the most important thing is that there are a wealth of interactive experience programs suitable for children, food, and hotels, which are the core reasons for my recommendation, so let's take a look down with me!

Get close to nature

(1) The Green Planet

Green Planet is a rainforest indoor botanical garden, the center of the botanical garden is a 25-meter-high man-made kapok, covered with greenery and parasitic vines, branches and foliage fill the five-story glass space, the trees are covered with a variety of vegetation and animals, colorful purple and blue macaws and brightly colored toucans skim through the air, porcupines and otters take sleepy and lazy walks. Carefully controlled at 70% humidity and 25-28 degrees Celsius, more than 3,000 species of plants and animals from all over the world have been brought into this constant temperature chamber, and you can vividly experience the different ecology of each level of the rainforest by walking along the trail that surrounds the giant kapok. It's a great place for ecological education, where children can learn about the rainforest and interact visually and tactilely, allowing them to experience the beauty of nature. It's an experience that is hard to find anywhere else.

(2) Miracle Garden

Spread over 18 acres and home to 45 million flowers and nearly 100 million flowers in full bloom, the existence of this garden is a miracle in the desert. Nestled near Arabian Ranches, the Miracle Garden is currently the largest artificial garden in the world and the largest outdoor retreat in Dubai, also known as the "Corner of Eden".

The Miracle Garden is open each winter, and at a time when much of the Northern Hemisphere is dying, it's the perfect time for outdoor flowers to bloom in the desert. Each park will have a different theme, with tens of millions of flowers in different shapes, like a fairy tale, among which the large model Emirates aircraft is especially popular with children. You can also use this to show your child that by making the best use of water resources and using drip irrigation, the desert can also become an oasis.

(3) Dubai Butterfly Garden

Dubai's Butterfly Garden is an oasis of kaleidoscopic creatures, with three white-roofed greenhouses home to more than 18,000 butterflies imported from the Philippines, Costa Rica, Colombia and Tanzania. Each rooftop is adorned with colorful flowers, allowing visitors and butterflies alike to stroll in a pleasant environment.

You and your children can get up close and personal with the most beautiful butterflies from all over the world! There are a lot of butterflies fluttering in the exhibition hall, they are not afraid of people, they can stay on people's shoulders and hands for a long time, and they can't help but want to take pictures! You can also see slices of fresh fruits such as watermelons, oranges, and dragon fruit placed next to it, all of which are used to feed butterflies.

There's also a dedicated museum dedicated to butterfly specimens, including giant portraits of His Royal Highness the Chieftain and the Second Prince, the most handsome prince in the UAE. It's breathtaking.

(4) Dolphin Bay

Located within the Atlantis Hotel in Dubai, Dolphin Bay is open to all guests and non-guests and covers an area of 4.5 hectares. The dolphins are good at their own skills, and the most important thing is that you can get up close and personal with the dolphins! Play with the dolphins in the crystal clear pool, pet the dolphins with adults and children, hug the dolphins, and kiss the dolphins directly.

Dolphins are definitely healing, intelligent and spiritual, and they can easily communicate with humans, so even two-month-old babies can go into the water to play together, children will play with dolphins very well, and some countries will also use dolphins to treat autistic children. It's definitely a must-add item on the list for family trips!

Tips:

  • Close contact with dolphins needs to be booked in advance, generally 2-3 days in advance, and at least 1 day in advance
  • Dolphin Bay is a smoke-free play area, and all activities are conducted in English
  • When entering the water, you need to wear swimsuits and swim trunks, and remove all accessories on your body
  • The girl's hair needs to be loosened, and the rubber band should not be tied (if the rubber band is accidentally loosened, it will be eaten by the dolphin).
  • A few things that dolphins don't like: don't touch his eyes and genitals, don't reach into their mouths and touch their teeth

(5) The Dubai Turtle Rehabilitation

In fact, it is a turtle retreat project located at the beach hotel in Jumeirah, which increases the number of turtles in their natural environment by treating turtles that might otherwise be dead. Since the project began in 2004, the center has rescued and released a total of 562 turtles. Some of the turtles have been tagged with satellite positioning tags, which allow project staff to track their previously sick turtles and learn more about these endangered creatures.

Only 1 in 1,000 newly hatched baby turtles survive to sexual maturity. Let the kids see these unusual baby turtles for themselves, and when they grow up, they will be released into the wild. At the same time, you can feed the turtles, so that children can establish a sense of caring for small animals from an early age.
