Buda Castle
One of Budapest's landmarks, Buda Castle, which witnessed the rise and fall of Hungary, was once the residence of the Hungarian royal family, and the central part of the palace has been converted into the Budapest History Museum, the National Library and the National Gallery. It is like a huge museum that shows the history of the development of the city of Budapest and the past of the Hungarian nation. The fountain statue in the royal palace area of Buda Castle has five characters: it tells a love story, King Matthias met a beautiful woman during a hunting trip, and composed a love song, but when the woman learned the true identity of her lover, she knew that this disparity of status could not blossom, and finally died of depression and heartbreak.
Fisherman's Bastion
Located on the other side of the castle hill, the beautiful Fisherman's Bastion is named in honor of the former defense of the Danube fishermen, and along with the Hungarian Parliament Building and the State Opera, it is considered one of the most impressive buildings in Hungary and is a great viewing platform overlooking the Danube and Pest district.
Underground labyrinth
Few people know that there is a labyrinth beneath Castle Hill that is one of the seven wonders of the world. The lights of the underground labyrinth are faint, and we feel a little chill when we visit, but the music playing in the underground palace is very cheerful, as if the builders are playing a game of exploration with us, to see if the visitors can successfully find every ancient treasure, or will they get lost?
This underground labyrinth appeared in prehistoric times and was eroded by Budapest's famous hot springs. With the advent of human beings, it was used as a prison, a torture chamber, a treasure room, a hunting ground, a cellar, an air-raid shelter, and an underground hospital. The labyrinth is full of strange historical sites, and there is even a famous Fodra III, the famous "Vampire Dracula", who was once imprisoned. If you are brave, you must come and see it!
Basilica of St. Estherine
The Basilica of St. István houses the mummified right hand of Estván I, the first king of Hungary. In honor of his prowess, the Hungarian Empire was founded.
This is the youngest church in Budapest (100 years old) but the most ornate, and it is not false to describe it as splendid. Since it was dedicated to the first king and God, the Hungarians naturally spent a lot of money to build this church.
Margaret Island
Nestled in the middle of the Danube River is Margaret Island, a lush island of lush forests and grass. The natural beauty attracts visitors from all over the world, and Budapestians who have lived in the city for a long time are also attracted to visit here.
This beautiful island also has a history of hundreds of years, and it is said that this place was once used as a women's convent, so it is no wonder that the temperament of the whole island is so elegant, whether it is the white classical water tower or the sculpture by the small lake, it is so tranquil and soft.
Budapest National Park with Széchenyi Thermal Baths
Budapest National Park is a famous attraction for the green grass and small flowers that dot the park, and there is also an ancient Széchenyi thermal bath located here, which is the first choice for locals to relax in spring, summer, autumn and winter.
Danube River cruise
A Danube River cruise is a must for spectacular views of Budapest, which has a different kind of beauty day or night.
Built in the early 20th century, the Parliament Building is one of the grandest and most stately buildings in Hungary and a landmark of Budapest. Typical neo-Gothic style, with spires, reliefs, ornamentation, and the decoration is extremely magnificent. If you don't have time to go inside the Capitol building, it's a good idea to take a cruise on board.
Elegant music is whispering in your ears, food awaits you on your plate, and you can see the majestic Reichstag building on the banks of the Danube......
When night falls, the lights are on, the boats on the blue Danube are lit up, and the Chain Bridge and the Buda Royal Palace are already glorious, enjoying the beautiful scenery of the Danube River and the Chain Bridge on the cruise ship, the peace of mind is like a ripple on the water surface a little bit of dissipation, and gradually relax the body and mind.
Epilogue
Some say Budapest is the Paris of Eastern Europe, others say it's the Pearl of the Danube, either way, the gorgeous and inviting Budapest is definitely one of the most beautiful cities in the world.
