Harry Potter London Filming Location

Warner Bros. London Studio

Warner Bros. London Studio is a studio located in the suburbs of London. It was originally used for filming movies, and many indoor scenes were filmed here. After the filming, Warner kept it here to show the production process, props, and scenery of the movie, and truly restored every shot in the movie. It is the most must-visit attraction for Harry Potter fans to check in!

The studio bus travels between the studio and Watford Junction Railway Station. There are obvious signs in the railway station indicating how to get to the studio, so you don’t have to worry about getting lost. In addition to the railway station, you can see the station full of Harry Potter posters, which is the parking spot for the exclusive bus.

Tickets: Book online

Transportation: Take a train from Euston Railway Station to Watford Junction. After getting off the train, there is a bus from the studio to pick you up.

Note: You can buy a round-trip ticket for the train on the same day (17 pounds). Remember to choose the express train (about 15 minutes) instead of the slow train (stopping at every station, about 1 hour). The round-trip bus to the studio is 2.5 pounds per person.

Tips:

(1) It is recommended to arrange a whole day to visit the studio. Whether you are a Harry Potter fan or not, there are places worth lingering here.

Platform 9 3/4

Platform 9 and 3/4 is a platform leading to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry in Rowling's series of novels "Harry Potter". There are three pillars between Platform 9 and Platform 10 at King's Cross Station in the UK.

In real life, there is not a wall between Platform 9 and Platform 10, but two railway tracks. Therefore, during the actual filming, the filming was done at Platforms 4 and 5, and the crew changed the platform numbers to 9 and 10.

Originally, the location for everyone to take pictures was inside the station, but because there were too many Muggles and wizards who came here to see the famous station, the shooting point was moved outside the station.

There are still many tourists who come here to take pictures every day. The platform also provides wizard robes of four colleges and magic wands of several protagonists for everyone to use. Of course, if you are a wizard, you will definitely bring your own magic equipment to take pictures.

Tips:

(1) Kingscross is a big station with a lot of tourists coming in and out. You should pay more attention to the items you carry with you.

(2) Due to the popularity of the movie, many tourists come here to take pictures. You should reserve enough time. Generally, the waiting time is 1-1.5 hours.

St. Paul's Cathedral (***'s Cathedral) is a world-famous religious holy place, the fifth largest cathedral in the world, the largest cathedral in the UK, and the second largest domed cathedral in the world, ranking among the top five cathedrals in the world.

In "Prisoner of Azkaban", the spiral staircase leading to the Divination classroom was filmed at St. Paul's Cathedral. When Harry picked up the crystal ball that Hermione knocked over on the spiral staircase and returned it to Professor Trelawney, he heard the prophecy that Voldemort was about to return.
