Moscow River Cruise Booking and Prices
Moscow Cruises:
The main embarkation points for river cruises in Moscow are at Gorky Central Park and the Ukraina Hotel pier.
Gorky Central Park
• Location: There are many piers along the Moscow River. From the gallery at Gorky Park, you can walk left towards the river and follow it for about 20 minutes (a quicker option is to take the metro one stop, but walking along the river is much more scenic). After crossing a bridge, you will arrive at Gorky Park, where many cruises depart.
• Cruise Duration: The typical cruise from Gorky Park lasts about 90 minutes and does not make any stops.
• Ticket Price: 600-800 rubles per person.
Ukraina Hotel
• Cruise Duration: Cruises from the Ukraina Hotel pier usually last about 2.5 hours, without any stops.
• Ticket Price: 900-1200 rubles per person.
Luxury Cruise Booking
For a more luxurious experience, you can book a more upscale cruise. For example, a 1.5-hour cruise costs around 650 rubles, while a 2.5-hour cruise costs 950 rubles. Tickets can be purchased at a blue ticket booth near the Radisson sign. Keep in mind that these cruises may require advance booking, especially in the evening. We visited around 5:30 PM and found that only tickets for 10:00 PM were available.
St. Petersburg River Cruise
St. Petersburg also offers river cruises along the Neva River, located between the Winter Palace and the Peter the Great sculpture. There are a variety of cruise lines to choose from, with prices typically ranging from 600-1000 rubles. Cruises last between 1.5 to 2.5 hours.
Recommended Cruise Time
It’s best to take a Moscow River cruise in the evening, as the lighting is ideal for photos and the temperatures are more comfortable. The scenic views during sunset make for a more enjoyable experience.
