Budapest Travel Guide

Budapest - a capital divided by the Danube River, Buda and Pest are so different that some people say that Budapest does not have an old city, because it is an old city.

Sanctuary of St. Isteván

Follow Skyrim for a cruise! The Basilica of St. Steppe's will be the first stop on our tour! Don't think this church is any different! The first and largest Catholic church in Budapest and the tallest building in Budapest, taller than the castle hill, do you think it's all you need to do to look at the decorations and statues? If there is no major religious event, the temple is free to visit. The whole building gives people a sense of vigorous atmosphere, very majestic from a distance has already made people respect, through the St. Stephen Square into the basilica, immediately attracted by the splendid dome of the golden splendor, the intricate gilt fancy climbing walls, and the painted mosaic glass windows complement each other, the finely carved eaves all reveal the craftsman's meticulous craftsmanship.

The Holy Right Hand

In a prayer room on the side of the main hall is dedicated to the most precious miracle of the Hungarian Catholic Church, the national treasure of the town, and the sacred relic, the "Holy Right Hand", which is the stump of the right hand clenched fist of István's jeweled and dried mummified hand, housed in a gold and glass shrine. It is also called the "Church of the Holy Hand", and this dried right hand has been lost many times. Today, it is treasured in the church and regularly exhibited. There are also many works of art in the church, ancient sacristy, and other works of art.

In addition to being the first king of Hungary, King István was also the first Hungarian monarch to adopt Catholicism. Since August 20 is the anniversary of the coronation of King St. István, it is known to Hungarians as St. István's Day, and it is now the national day of Hungary. Don't forget to buy a ticket to get a panoramic view of Hungary! I didn't expect this temple to be as high as Castle Hill on the other side of the river, and the church is really the only place that can touch the sky.

Capitol

After leaving the seat of the Hungarian national spirit, the next step is to the Hungarian pride, the Parliament Building. Built in the early 20th century, the Hungarian Parliament Building in the typical neo-Gothic style is one of the grandest and most stately buildings in Hungary and the largest in continental Europe. If you want to learn more about Hungarian history and culture, the Parliament House is a must-visit. However, individual visits to the Capitol are prohibited, so be sure to follow a tour led by a staff member, so be sure to buy tickets in advance, or watch the time!

When I came to the square in front of the Capitol, I only felt that this building was simply majestic and terrifying, and no matter how you photographed it, there was no way to put it in the camera. According to the guide, if you want to take a full picture of the Capitol, I am afraid that the only way to go is to go to Castle Hill or take a cruise. So when you stand in front of the Capitol, take a good look at the details that you can't see from afar!

Heroes' Square

If you want to learn a little about the history of Hungary, the best place to visit is Heroes' Square, where the Millennium Monument in the middle of the square is a neo-baroque cylindrical stone monument 36 meters high and topped by a bronze statue of an angeless with two wings. She held up the cross in one hand and the two crowns welded together in the other, indicating that the Hungarians had achieved the right to settle in the statehood. There are statues of seven tribal leaders on the pedestal, who are draped all over their bodies, riding tall horses, holding swords, and majestic.

Arc de Triomphe

Behind the monument, there are two 16-metre-high arc-shaped colonnades, with a distance of 85 metres between the ends and a depth of 25 metres, forming a huge triumphal arch. The colonnade is home to 14 statues of famous Hungarian rulers, each with their names and years engraved on their pedestals, and a relief reflecting their major exploits representing important periods of Hungarian history.

Budapest Wet Market

The square is sun-scorched and hungry, and it is highly recommended to recommend places where you can buy local snacks. With a guided tour, we went to Budapest's Central Market, which is one of the most popular places for Hungarians! Compared with those cookie-cutter bustling commercial streets, the central market is full of historical vicissitudes! It is said that the designer of this building is the designer of the Eiffel Tower in Paris!

Lion Chain Bridge

Coming out of the big wet market, you will pass the famous Lion Chain Bridge to Castle Hill in the Buda district. The Lion Chain Bridge, also known as the Széchenyi Chain Bridge, is a chain bridge across the Danube River and is one of the most famous beauties in Budapest. The bridge is located between Pest and Buda and offers a spectacular view of the banks of the Danube. On the Pest side, the minaret of the Reichstag is just on the banks of the Danube; On the Buda side, there is the beautiful Buda Castle. The bridge itself is a sight to behold, especially at night, when the thick chain reflects thousands of lights.

Castle Hill

A stroll along the banks of the Danube is sure to see towering castles, sprawling buildings, and fascinating monuments on the hills of Buda that make this spectacular palace complex one of the most beautiful sights in Budapest. The Buda Castle complex has many beautiful sights, such as the majestic Buda Castle, the romantic Fisherman's Bastion and the stately Matthias Church. There are several ways to get around, take the cable car up to the castle at the end of the chain bridge; You can also choose to hike up the mountain, which has many breathtaking sights and views of the Danube and the city.

Epilogue

The beauty of Budapest needs to be savored, just like that glass of bull's blood, and only at night can you taste that true meaning......

The night in Budapest is like a night, like a night, but it is also beautiful; Stunning, magnificent, yet so simple.

The beauty of Budapest only begins to bloom at night!
